Technology Support
Your Technology Support Team was developed to help every member of ICI feel comfortable with the technology we use. We believe the only silly technology questions are the ones you don't ask! We are here to help! Fill out our technology help form for any questions you may have.
TO BEGIN:
- When a new member joins Impact Central Illinois, they will receive a "Welcome Email" with information about logging in to our online portal.
- This portal is important as this is the way we send emails, organize committees, review grants, and vote at the end of each year.
- If you did not receive a "Welcome Email", fill out a Technology Help Form and someone from the support team will contact you.
ICI primarily communicates with members using email. We follow up every email we send with a text to those cell phone numbers who have agreed to receive texts from us. Our emails will always be from “Impact Central Illinois” with the following email, ici@impactcentralillinois.org.
"ALLOWLISITING" EMAILS:
*If you are using a work email and not receiving our emails, it may be due to your company's firewall policy. Check with your company administrator to see if these emails can be released to you.
- To be sure our emails always make it to your inbox, please add us as a contact or put us on your allow list. Check for your email provider below to find directions on how to get Impact Central Illinois allow listed for your inbox.
- Please note that "allowlist" is sometimes referred to as "whitelist" depending upon your email provider.
1. Click the gear icon in Gmail and select "See all settings" from the Quick settings menu.
2. Navigate to "Filters and Blocked Addresses" in the top menu.
3. Select "Create a new filter."
4. Add the following email, ici@impactcentralillinois.org, in the "From" field.
5. Click "Create filter."
6. Check "Never send it to Spam" in the checkbox.
7. Click "Create filter."
1. Click the gear icon in Outlook and select "View all Outlook settings."
2. Select "Mail" from the settings menu.
3. Choose "Junk email" from the submenu.
4. Click "Add" under "Safe senders and domains."
5. Enter the email address that you want whitelisted, ici@impactcentralillinois.org
6. Choose "Save."
1. Open Yahoo mail and log in.
2. Navigate to "Settings", then click "More Settings"
3. Select "Filters" and hit "Add New Filters" to enter the ici@impactcentralillinois.org email you'd like to whitelist.
4. Name the filter and add the email
5. Select to send all mail to "Inbox"
6. Save your settings.
1. Log into your Apple Mail account.
2. Select "Mail" from the menu bar.
3. Select "Settings"
4. Click on the "Rules" tab
5. Enter a new description in the box. "Whitelist for ICI" is a good descriptor.
6. Type the address you want to whitelist, ici@impactcentralillinois.org, and then select "Inbox" from the dropdown menu.
7. Select "OK" to save your changes.

If you are nervous about joining a committee or getting involved because of the portal, don't be! We are here to offer extra training if needed. Simply fill out the Technology Help Form and indicate that you would like to have more technology training. One of our volunteers from the Tech Support Team will contact you to support you in your training needs.
