Beth Clark

How did you hear about Impact?

My husband told me that Laurie Weaver was doing something really cool and I should check it out, which I did and I’m so glad that I did.

What has been your favorite experience in Impact so far?

The gatherings with so many women who have a desire to make a difference in other people’s lives and our community.

When and how did you first become involved in philanthropy?

I suppose it really began when I was young and going to a Catholic School we raised money for many causes. That continued all through high school and college. I had parents who were always willing to help someone in need even though they were not wealthy people.

What is a charitable non-profit that has left a mark in your life? (In any way, i.e. whether you were a benefactor, a beneficiary, or a volunteer)

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Who inspires you to be generous?

My sister, Beth and her husband. They have lost two of their three children, their oldest daughter when she was nine to Lupus and their youngest son to suicide at the age of 19. Both times they have stepped up to find ways to help other people so that they would not have to go through this. They are amazing in their unceasing fundraising for Lupus and Suicide prevention.
